Civilian injured from stepping on russian landmine in Kharkiv region
A man was injured by a russian anti-personnel mine while farming in the Kharkiv region.
Currently, he is in hospital, State Emergency Service reports.
The event took place in the village of Snizhkivka, Izium district, which used to be russia-controlled until September 2022.
A 38-year-old man stepped on an anti-personnel butterfly mine. He received shrapnel wounds and receives necessary assistance in the hospital.
"He was taken to the city hospital. The final circumstances of the extraordinary event are being clarified," the rescuers emphasized.
On March 31, sappers destroyed a FAB-500 aerial bomb in the Kherson region, which was located in the yard of a residential building.
Ukraine plans to create a State Center for Humanitarian Demining, which will contribute to better coordination of work in the field of demining territories.
The first humanitarian demining mission took place in the southern Mykolaiv region. More than 470,854 hectares of agricultural land need survey and, if necessary, demining in nine regions of Ukraine.
