French defense chief speaks with Zaluzhny, promises continued support
Chief of the General Staff of France Thierry Burkhard discussed with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, the situation at the front and further military support.
The French side promises to increase military support to Ukraine as it embraces the upcoming counteroffensive, Burkhard says on Twitter.

"I had a fruitful telephone interview with my counterpart General Valerii Zaluzhny. I listened to his analysis of the situation at the front. I assured him of our continued support through the assignments and trainings that the armies provide to the Ukrainian Armed Forces" Burkhard said.
Last month, France announced that it would double the artillery ammunition Paris sends to Ukraine to 2,000 rounds per month.
France has also vowed to provide the advanced SAMP/T missile air defense system to Ukraine, on which Ukrainian operators have reportedly already concluded training.
