Ukraine receives 17 more ambulances via United24 platform
5 Ukrainian regions will receive another 17 C-type ambulances purchased via the United24 fundraising platform, the State Ministry of Health reports.
"17 more ambulance vehicles, purchased as part of the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine through the United24 fundraising platform, will be delivered to the regions, namely Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions," the statement says.
Type C "urgent" vehicles contain the necessary equipment: oxygen tanks, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, and ventilators.
"Type C ambulances are a kind of mobile intensive care unit. They can be used to treat cardiogenic shock, provide assistance during childbirth, resuscitate patients, and provide general anesthesia," Maria Karchevych, Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development, said.
According to the Ministry of Health, russia's war damaged 103 ambulance vehicles, destroyed 250, and captured 125.
