Zelensky: Platform UNITED24 has raised over $300 mln for Ukraine
More than $300 million were collected to help Ukraine during the 11 months of operation of the UNITED24 fundraising platform.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the Telegram messaging app that donations came from more than 110 countries.
"Over $300 million were raised during the 11 months of operation of the UNITED24 fundraising platform, thanks to donations from more than 110 countries. Ukraine feels the whole world's support in fighting for freedom and independence. Thank you!" said Zelensky.
The president founded the fundraising platform UNITED24 in May 2022 as a unified channel for donations for Ukraine's defense.
Among the ambassadors of the platform are singer and actress Barbra Streisand, actor Mark Hamill, Canadian actress Catherine Vynnik, band Imagine Dragons, art director of Balenciaga Demna, American actor Liev Schreiber, director Michel Azanavicius, astronaut Scott Kelly, historian Timothy Snyder, country singer Brad Paisley, British traveler Bear Grylls, outstanding Ukrainian athletes Elina Svitolina, Andrii Shevchenko and Oleksandr Usyk.
