Solution to win: Lviv students created combat buggy for front-line soldiers

Students from the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction created an all-wheeled combat buggy called "Gurkit"("Roar").

The all-terrain vehicle will be used on the front lines next week, Lviv City Council reports.

What is the problem?

The current stage of war consists of russians using combat drones for reconnaissance and strikes. This has brought up the issue of the mobility of the Ukrainian forces.

The easiest way to solve this problem would be using pickups or jeeps, which can also be armed. It turns out that modern models are quite vulnerable for use in the field. They do not always cope with off-road.

The second significant disadvantage is the difficulty in operation and repair. It is impossible to repair a broken machine in the conditions of the front. It must be transported to the rear, which is not always possible.

What is the solution?

Students and teachers of the college work on creating buggies for front-line defenders.

They worked on the creation of this car for about 7 months.

"Last year, we created a model of Tyrex buggies, which still perform combat missions. "GURKIT" is a vehicle that is an even more improved version of the previous one because it takes into account all the needs of the military, which tests various vehicles in combat." Taras Janush, a student of the school and one of the developers of the buggy, says.

How does it work?

The uniqueness of this design lies in the engine, which is located in the middle. The undercarriage is perfectly unloaded here, and this greatly affects the passability of the vehicle.

This buggy is a three-seater. One seat can be completely folded so that it is convenient to transport an injured person if necessary. There is a suitable compartment for various weapons and two points for fixing machine guns.

Two volunteers Volodymyr Mussur and Roman Borynets from the Ivano-Frankivsk region are creating a ground drone to evacuate wounded soldiers. The radio-controlled device will accelerate up to 20 km/h and will be able to transport at least 150 kg.
