Platform Helsi offers Ukrainians new service for urgent online medical consultations
Medical provider Helsi has launched a new service that provides urgent online consultations from doctors.
What is the problem?
Due to the russian aggression in Ukraine, millions of citizens were forced to move to other safer regions or to leave the country altogether. The burden on medical institutions has increased in the rear areas due to the displaced Ukrainians. Providing services takes a lot of time. You have to wait in lines at clinics to see a family doctor.
Abroad, Ukrainians must go through specific procedures to obtain permission for medical assistance.
What is the solution?
The company's press release reports that thanks to the new Helsi feature, patients can get answers to all their health questions and referrals to a specialist within 15 minutes.
If a person frequently needs drugs, they can get an electronic prescription for antibiotics and other prescription drugs.
The consultation cost is 200 hryvnias and is debited only after the successful completion of the appointment. 75% of the funds are received by the doctor who provides the service.
The service is also available to Ukrainians living abroad.
How does it work?
How to sign up for a consultation:
- enter the Helsi application;
- select "Services" — "Urgent online consultation";
- create an application, and the system will find a doctor for you in a few minutes.
The patient chooses for whom to create a consultation: for themselves or their relatives (children, parents, etc.).

In the first stage, doctors with the highest ratings and integrated patient reviews are added to the system.
The system does not refer patients to doctors automatically.
Within 5 minutes, the doctor reads the application and accepts it, then calls or writes to the patient in the application.
The doctor with knowledge in a specific specialization gets acquainted with the patient's electronic medical record and decides whether to consult them online.
If the doctor was not found and the appointment did not occur, the application will be automatically canceled after 2 hours, and the money will be returned to the patient's bank account.
How long does the consultation last?
The duration of an urgent online appointment is about 15 minutes. In complex cases, the doctor will extend the time on their own. Each medical worker connecting to urgent online consultations has a medical license.
They undergo pre-selection and training, so the replacement of the doctor is not foreseen. At the same time, the patient can independently withdraw the application before the start of the consultation.
If the appointment is interrupted, for example, during a blackout, the doctor will contact you later and complete the consultation.
