UN confirms over 500 child deaths in russia's war against Ukraine
In Ukraine, 501 children died due to the full-scale aggression of the russian invaders. The actual death toll may be higher.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell reported this on Twitter.
She emphasized that the UN confirms such data, which are also preliminary.
"The real figure is likely far higher, and the toll on families affected is unimaginable," Russell said.
She added that almost 1,000 minors had been injured and that children and families in Ukraine were paying the highest price for this brutal war.
It should be noted that earlier, the UN emphasized that the data on the death of 8,000 peaceful Ukrainians are only the tip of the iceberg.
Also, on April 3, russians shelled medical facilities in Kherson, where up to 200 people were staying.
