Czech government supports China's mediation between Ukraine and russia
The Czech Government does not object to the cessation of full-scale hostilities in Ukraine through the mediation of China.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, Jana Černochová, on April 2 on the air of Czech Television.
The head of the Czech Ministry of Defense expressed her fears that hostilities would not end.
"NATO is doing everything to ensure that the situation around russia, which caused the war in Ukraine, does not escalate further," Černochová emphasized.
The minister emphasized that the North Atlantic Alliance wants to avoid being drawn into the conflict. The head of the ministry considers it logical to provide weapons and humanitarian aid to Ukraine; however, in her opinion, it is also important not to shy away from diplomatic negotiations.
"It doesn't matter whether the mediator is the West or countries that may be close to russia… The whole world must do everything possible to end this horror as soon as possible. I will support anyone who can do this. I don't care if it is China," she added.

It should be noted that the EU started to pay special attention to China's role, in particular after the visit of Chinese leader Xi Jinping to moscow on March 20-22.
As Rubryka wrote earlier, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who was in Beijing on a visit, called on the leader of the People's Republic of China to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
As reported, France believes that, given its close ties with russia, China may be one of the few countries that can "change the rules of the game" in the context of the war in Ukraine.
