Germany considers setting up partnership with Ukraine in hydrogen production
Germany is considering the possibility of joint implementation of hydrogen production and transportation projects with Ukraine.
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko, discussed this with the state secretary for financial market policy and European policy of Germany, Jörg Kukis, during a meeting, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
"There is a huge potential for bilateral cooperation in hydrogen production and transportation. Germany is considering relevant projects, among which is the possible modernization of the Ukrainian gas transmission system for hydrogen transportation," the message says.
It is noted that during the meeting, the parties also emphasized the importance of green transformation and getting rid of dependence on russian energy resources, as well as discussed areas of cooperation in rebuilding the Ukrainian energy sector.
As reported, two documents on energy cooperation between Ukraine and Germany were recently signed within the 9th Berlin Energy Dialogue framework with the participation of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko.
