British traveler Bear Grylls becomes United24 ambassador

Bear Grylls is the most imaginative traveler of our time, who at the age of 23 became the youngest Briton to conquer Everest, a TV presenter, writer, former commando, and the author of several world records.

Grylls has supported Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale war.

His educational company BecomingX, in partnership with Amazon and Accenture, is developing the BecomingX Ukraine educational platform for Ukrainians.

In December 2022, the famous traveler visited Ukraine with a film crew. The result of this visit was the film "War Zone: Bear Grylls meets President Zelensky," which was released on March 28 in Great Britain and the United States. The next day it became known that Grylls was joining UNITED24 to promote the "Ukraine Reconstruction" direction.

He will also become the first British ambassador of the fundraising platform.

"After a year of resistance to the russian invasion, the support of people like Bear Grylls is very important. Together with other UNITED24 ambassadors, he will help spread the truth about the war and unite the world around helping Ukraine," President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said.

"I am very proud to support UNITED24 and the people of Ukraine. You have shown such courage and determination in the face of adversity and become an international symbol of resilience and defiance. I can't wait to start helping UNITED24 and creating a better future for everyone," said Bear Grylls.

For reference:

For the nine months of its operation, the United24 fundraising platform has gathered more than $287 million due to contributions from over 110 countries. Celebrities such as Barbra Streisand, Mark Hamill, Imagine Dragons, Demna (the Balenciaga art director), Liev Schreiber, Michel Hazanavicius, Scott Kelly, Timothy Snyder, Brad Paisley, as well as Ukrainian athletes Elina Svitolina, Andriy Shevchenko, and Oleksandr Usyk are ambassadors of United24.
