Finnish company Temet to build bomb shelter for 1,200 children in Irpin
The city council of Irpin, the city in the Kyiv region severely damaged by the russian shelling, has already negotiated with representatives of the Finnish company Temet about building bomb shelters for 1,200 children.
Rubryka reports, referring to Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn.
What is the problem?
During the war, the duration of the air raid in Ukraine ranged from 15 minutes to 8 hours. So a comfortable stay in a bomb shelter for a long time without harm to health became vital, especially for children.
The requirements for the maintenance and operation of civil defense protective structures say that even in the simplest shelter, the stay should be comfortable for at least 48 hours.
What is the solution?
Irpin's leadership and the management of the Temet group visited the local high school, "Mriia." A Finnish company is considering this very educational institution for the construction of a large bomb shelter together with a gym. It will be designed for 1200 children.

How does it work?
The bomb shelter is to be built using special technology at a depth of 10 meters underground. It can be used as a shelter and a gym simultaneously.
The Temet company appeared on the market in 1953. Its credit is thousands of shelters in Finland, created following Finland's civil defense rules.
In the 70s, the company began exporting to the international market and became the world's leading manufacturer of means of protection against explosions and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
