Ukraine's armed forces will probably launch counteroffensive in April or May - defense minister Reznikov

The counteroffensive of Ukraine's armed forces should begin in April-May this year.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, announced this in an interview with ERR.

When answering questions about Leopard tanks, Reznikov emphasized that Western equipment would appear at the front in the future counterattack.

"You will see them [tanks – ed.] in a counterattack according to the decision of our General Staff. It [the counteroffensive- ed.] is already planned in several directions. It depends on the most appropriate moment and how they [the General Staff – ed.] will decide. It also all depends on the climatic conditions. In the spring, our land is very wet. I think we will see them in April – May," he said about Western tanks.

The head of the defense department also believes that very positive changes await Ukraine this year.

For reference:

On March 28, the head of the US Defense Ministry, Lloyd Austin, said that Ukrainian forces have a good chance to launch a successful counteroffensive this spring.

On February 28, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the next three months would be very active in the full-scale war of russia against Ukraine. And they would be decisive for the further course of events.
