City of Liverpool planting "Ukrainian garden of peace"

The city of Liverpool, England, is creating a Ukrainian garden of peace in parallel with the preparations for Eurovision 2023, which the city will hold on behalf of Ukraine.

Fakty.Life reports that a symbolic space will be located in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool.

Garden designer Peter Lloyd hopes that the types and smells of plants inherent in the Ukrainian garden will help provide some comfort to the Ukrainian refugees residing in the city. He emphasized that this project is designed for them to feel at home.

"I hope the garden will bring a little piece of Ukraine to Liverpool that everyone will appreciate. Being outdoors surrounded by plants is important for everyone's physical and mental well-being. I hope the garden will comfort Ukrainians in this difficult time and serve as a reminder that better times are ahead of us," he emphasized.

The Ukrainian community of Liverpool helps the designer to make the location look like a Ukrainian garden.  The opening is scheduled for May 5. There will also be two concrete chess tables and seating areas.

We remind you that Eurovision 2023 will take place from May 9 to 13. The singing show will be held in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine, as the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra won the international song contest and russia's war continues.
