Poland and Britain will build two temporary settlements for displaced Ukrainians

Great Britain and Poland agreed to build two temporary settlements in Ukraine for Ukrainians left homeless due to the war.

The government website of Great Britain reports this.

What is the problem?

Due to the war, millions of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in other regions of Ukraine.

What is the solution?

It is noted that Great Britain and Poland plan to build two temporary settlements in the west and east of Ukraine to provide essential housing for more than 700 of the most vulnerable displaced persons in Ukraine.

How does it work?

"Over the past year, putin has continued to target civilian homes and infrastructure, for which the Ukrainian people have paid a heavy price. This new British-Polish partnership will help provide light, heat, and homes to those who need it most," said British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.

London has pledged 10 million pounds ($12.3 million) for this project.

Britain and Poland will also provide generators worth £2.6 million to support up to 450,000 people through schools, hospitals, and community centers in de-occupied and front-line areas, including Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson.
