russia's full-scale armed aggression killed 465 children and injured 942 in Ukraine, the Prosecutor General's Office says.
"As of the morning of March 24, 2023, more than 1,407 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the russian federation. According to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 465 children were killed and more than 942 received injuries of various degrees of severity."
This data is not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Most children were affected in the Donetsk region – 446, Kharkiv region – 273, Kyiv region – 127, Kherson region – 94, Zaporizhzhia region – 88, Mykolaiv region – 85, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 66, and Dnipropetrovsk region – 66.
Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were injured after an enemy Shahed drone struck a dormitory in Kyiv region's Obukhiv district on March 22.
Regular air strikes and shelling of civilian infrastructure and residential areas by the Russian armed forces damaged 3,126 educational institutions. Of which, 438 were fully destroyed.
