French volunteer killed in action in Bakhmut
A former humanitarian worker Kévin David was killed in the fighting in the Bakhmut area, the Donetsk region of Ukraine. He was a French volunteer.
David is a fifth French citizen who died defending Ukraine, French Foreign Ministry reports.
Kevin David left to fight along with the Ukrainians more than a year ago. A 30-year-old man was killed under unknown circumstances in the Bakhmut district.
"We remind you that Ukraine is currently a war zone. In this context, trips to Ukraine are formally undesirable, regardless of the reasons," the Foreign Ministry says.
Several French soldiers have gone to fight in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war of russia. However, their exact number is unknown.
Earlier it was reported the former serviceman of the Armed Forces of New Zealand, Kane Te Tai, died in the fighting in the east of Ukraine.
A volunteer from Estonia died in the Bakhmut area.
A Belarusian volunteer Ruslan Oblomov died in the war in Ukraine.
