Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida left India for Ukraine for an unannounced visit.
Japan's public broadcaster NHK reports, citing official sources, that Kisida is leaving for Ukraine on Tuesday with an unexpected visit.
Kisida has already flown from India to Ukraine, representatives of the government and the ruling party said.
The Prime Minister of Japan is expected to arrive in Ukraine on Tuesday for high-level talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It was previously reported that the possible visit of Prime Minister Fumio Kisida to Kyiv faces problems related to security and the difficulty of keeping the schedule and route of the trip a secret.
As Rubryka reported, Japan is considering the possibility of exporting weapons to countries that are fighting the invasion, such as Ukraine.
