15 Ukrainian children with their mothers and legal representatives were returned to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, informed on Telegram.

The Ukrainian ombudsman reported that these were children from the cities of the Kharkiv and Kherson regions, occupied at the beginning of the war.

Lubinets did not specify other details.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights also reported that, as of now, according to the National Information Bureau, 308 children have been returned to the territory of Ukraine

"Finally, at home! Despite all the challenges, we continue to work so that Ukrainians have the opportunity to see their relatives and be on their land," the ombudsman said.

For reference:

As Rubryka wrote, russia has kidnapped over 700.000 Ukrainian children.

The scale of deportation of Ukrainian children by russia is unprecedented in world history. The aggressor country claims 738,000 "evacuated" and actually kidnapped Ukrainian children, but the total number will be higher, Daria Herasymchuk, the Commissioner for children's rights and rehabilitation, says.

According to her, there are several options for the abduction of Ukrainian children by the occupiers:

  • from orphanages during the so-called "filtration";
  • when the child is immediately separated from the family;
  • when children are kidnapped after their parents' murder;
  • after taking kids to "healthcare facilities" in an unknown direction.

In general, according to the commissioner, Ukraine has accurate and detailed information on more than 16,000 cases of child deportation.
