UK to transfer depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine
Great Britain will transfer armor-piercing rounds with depleted uranium to Ukraine.
The State Defense Minister, Baroness Annabel Goldie, in her statement responding to the question of Lord Hilton, a member of the House of Lords of Great Britain, published on the website of the British Parliament, reported this.
"In addition to providing Ukraine with a company of Challenger 2 main battle tanks, we will provide ammunition, including armor-piercing rounds that contain depleted uranium," Goldie said in the statement.
According to her, such projectiles are highly effective in defeating modern tanks and armored vehicles.

In February, Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, at a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the British Challenger 2 tanks, to be delivered to Ukraine in March, would change the situation on the battlefield.
