US reveals details of new military aid package to Ukraine

The new package of defense aid to Ukraine, announced on Monday by the administration of US President Joe Biden, included at least two dozen types of weapons, equipment, and ammunition. Among them are missiles for HIMARS, 155-mm shells, mortars, boats, and other means.
The US Ministry of Defense reported this.
It is noted that the new package of defense support is allocated by presidential order (Presidential Drawdown – ed.). This means sending already existing stocks of the US Ministry of Defense to Ukraine without the need for additional purchases from manufacturers.
In particular, the list of weapons includes the following:
- Ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 155mm artillery rounds;
- 25mm ammunition;
- High-speed Anti-radiation missiles (HARMs);
- 81mm and 60mm mortar systems and mortar rounds;
- AT-4 anti-armor weapon systems;
- Grenade launchers, small arms, and associated ammunition;
- Demolition munitions and equipment for obstacle clearing;
- Mine clearing equipment;
- Heavy fuel tankers;
- Thermal imagery systems, optics, and laser rangefinders;
Separately, the list includes:
- Riverine patrol boats;
- Testing and diagnostic equipment to support vehicle maintenance and repair;
- Spare parts and other field equipment.
" To meet Ukraine's evolving battlefield requirements, the United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities," the Pentagon noted.
