Ukrainian women’s futsal team reached the final of the European Championship for the first time in history
In the match against Hungary in the semifinals of the European Futsal Championship, the women's national team of Ukraine won with a minimum score of 2:1. Thus, for the first time in history, Ukrainian women reached the Euro final.
The Futsal Association of Ukraine reported this.
It is noted that initially, during the game, the Ukrainian national team was inferior to its opponents from Hungary. In the 12th minute of the match, Viktoria Horvath opened the score with a well-hit shot from her half of the court.
Ukrainian athletes managed to equalize the score in the first half of the match thanks to a goal by Hanna Shuliak. During the corner kick, a three-way tie between Tytov-Volovenko-Shulha worked, which Hanna finished off with a shot from close range.
Already in the second half, in the 32nd minute of the match, Shuliak scored a goal again and established the game's final score.
It is reported that Ukraine will play against Spain in the futsal finals of Euro-2023.
