USAID purchases 250 storage bags for Ukrainian grain

The USAID project "Economic Support of Ukraine" purchased 250 bags for transporting grain for the Ukrainian agriculture company Agromino.
What's the problem?
Previously, Agromino loaded grain into 800-kilogram bags, the company could load approximately 100-120 tons per day.
What's the solution?
The agrarian company is the first and currently the only company in Ukraine that uses maxi bags for grain export.
Using maxi bags, the exporter will be able to quickly ship grain to his customers and send it by rail to the European Union.
How does it work?
"Now one bag contains 14 tons of grain, they are manufactured by the Ukrainian company Arivapak," the statement says.
Maxibags are the author's development of Arivapak, with a volume of 14 tons. These have been used for more than 10 years in the countries of the European Union and the USA for the transportation of bulk cargo.
However, for Ukraine, using them to transport grain is a new technology.
The bags are made of polymer fabric, guaranteeing the tightness of the cargo (grain) and its protection during transportation.
The USAID project plans to spread this technology of using bags among other agricultural producers in order to increase economic indicators in grain logistics. This is very important for strengthening the economy of Ukraine during the russian invasion.
