The UNITED24 fundraising platform and AVT Bavaria car dealer financed the restoration of a bridge in the war-battered Mykolaiv region in Ukraine's south.

Another bridge was rebuilt with the assistance of UNITED24, says the press service of the UNITED24 platform, Rubryka reports.

What is the problem?

During the occupation of the Mykolaiv region by the russian invaders, russia destroyed, in addition to the infrastructure, more than one bridge across the rivers. The bridges were destroyed as a result of hostilities.

What is the solution?

The fundraising company UNITED24 took over the financing of the reconstruction of the bridges.

The first bridge was rebuilt across the Inhul River in Voskresensk Territorial Community.

The financing of the reconstruction of the second bridge across the Inhulets River in the Snihurivka Territorial Community was taken over by AVT Bavaria through the UNITED24 fundraising platform.

How does it work?

Service members of the 36th Konotop Road Rehabilitation Regiment of the State Special Transport Service restored the bridge.

"A bridge across the Inhulets River, destroyed by russian troops in November 2022, was opened in the Bashtanka district of the Mykolaiv region. The bridge guarantees safe passage for residents of the surrounding villages and will allow the delivery of humanitarian aid," the message said.

"The reconstruction of the bridge in the Bashtanka district of the Mykolaiv region is a significant event for residents and AVT Bavaria. We are proud to have joined the project again, contributing to reconstructing Ukrainian cities that suffered from the aggressor country.

Our fruitful cooperation with UNITED24 does not stop. We continue to help Ukraine resist the enemy and rebuild our state," said CEO of AVT Bavaria Eric Berning.

This is already the eighth bridge built with donors' funds collected through the UNITED24 fundraising platform and the fifth bridge in the de-occupied Mykolaiv region.

"The community has been waiting for the reconstruction of this bridge for a long time because it will ensure uninterrupted transport connections. Thank you to UNITED24 and AVT Bavaria because it was thanks to cooperation with the business that it was possible to complete the task of rebuilding the bridge in such a time frame," said the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim.
