russian troops unsuccessfully trying to encircle Bakhmut – General Syrskyi

The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the troops of the russian federation are unsuccessfully trying to surround Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and move forward.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports this on Telegram.

The commander noted that today the military of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodny Yar" with the call sign "Alan" destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft in Bakhmut.

"The enemy continues to try to surround the city and move forward unsuccessfully. There, the fighters of the 93rd brigade, together with other defenders, hold back the furious pressure of the enemy. "Thanks to their work, enemy tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems, and warehouses with ammunition are literally flying into the air," Sirsky emphasized.

The invaders are also pressing in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions.

"Soldiers of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Ivan Sirko gave the enemy a dignified blow by destroying the radar systems, multiple launch rocket systems, and control points of the aggressor. Such decisive actions of our army significantly exhaust and demoralize the enemy and speed up our victory," Syrskyi emphasized.
