Project to restore damaged housing launched in war-battered Mykolaiv region
The British project "Winterization" to restore damaged housing was launched in the Snihurivka community in the southern Mykolaiv region.
Rubryka reports, citing the head of the Snihurivka city military administration, Ivan Kukhta, on Telegram.
What is the problem?
Due to the violent russian aggression, tens of thousands of Ukrainians live in destroyed houses or on premises that are not adapted for sufficient protection from the cold. They have no electricity, gas, or heating.
Besides shelling, the russian forces occupied Snihurivka in the Mykolaiv region for more than eight months. Until recently, gas, water, and electricity supply were absent.
What is the solution?
The international project "Winterization" is the first in this community to restore damaged property.
"The implementation of the British project 'Wintarization' has begun In the Snihurivka community. Today I met with representatives of the CARE international organization and Stabilization Support Services Charity Fund, who register residents of the city of Snihurivka, whose houses have been slightly damaged due to hostilities, to the project," Kukhta reported on the messaging app.
How does it work?
The head of the Snihurivka city military administration emphasized that the parties discussed the possibilities of further cooperation.
According to the terms of the project, funds are not transferred to people's accounts directly, but the contractor performs the agreed amount of repair work.
