Ukrainian NGOs launch grant competition for green energy projects
The Ukrainian public organizations "Ekoclub" and "Ekodia" have announced a grant competition to support sustainable energy.
NGO Ekoclub reports that the competition is held to support the activities of local self-government in implementing solutions that will lead to sustainable energy in the community.
Selected participants of the competition will be able to:
- get financial support for projects in green energy;
- increase the level of knowledge about green energy;
- to receive mentoring support from representatives of the NGO Ekoclub during the implementation of the project.
The grant competition is designed for:
- local self-government bodies (LGOs);
- non-profit public organizations (having the status of a legal entity on the community's territory from which the application will be submitted);
- consortia that have a legal basis for work.
The organizers do not limit the participants to a list of activities but provide an approximate list:
- development and implementation of solutions that contribute to the implementation of energy-efficient measures;
- popularization and deployment of RES;
- participation in national policies to prevent climate change;
- strengthening cooperation of local government with the public.
The possible financing amount is up to 10,000 euros in hryvnia equivalent.
To participate in the competition, participants must send documents to the e-mail address [email protected], with the note "grant competition" in the letter's subject.
Public organizations must also send a copy of the organization's charter, a certificate of non-profit designation (certified by the organization's seal), and a copy of the Balance sheet, financial result, and receipt No. 2 for 2022.
Applications will be considered as they are received (on a rolling basis). The deadline is May 15, 2024. The competition may end earlier, provided all funding is spent.
