Lithuania prevents a russian ship from docking at its seaport that was drifting around.

The state blocked a private plane with a russian citizen aboard from boarding, Marius Skuodis, Lithuanian minister of communications, reports.

"Last week, one person under sanctions tried to fly to Lithuania," he says.

The minister added that a ship drifting under the кussian flag was not allowed into the Klaipeda port over the weekend.

The member of the government emphasizes that the russians are looking for schemes to circumvent sanctions and are trying to circumvent them. The government is inclined to support the introduction of national sanctions and the imposition of thousands of fines for violations of international restrictions.

This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, supporting the legislative initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. The Seimas will still have to make a decision on these bills. Parliamentarians are asked to consider the bill urgently.

Lithuania is considering a complete refusal to transport russian and belarusian goods through its territory. But such a step must be coordinated with the EU.

Lithuania will block IP addresses that are used to access russian propaganda channels and against which EU sanctions have already been introduced.
