Residents of multi-apartment residential buildings in the city of Bucha, Kyiv region, who suffered from military operations, can receive grants for housing reconstruction, says Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk on Telegram, Rubryka reports.

What is the problem?

At the beginning of russia's full-scale war, a thirty-kilometer column of russian military equipment was passing through Bucha, trying to break through to Kyiv. As a result of active hostilities and month-long occupation, most of the buildings and infrastructure of the city were destroyed.

What is the solution?

Currently, Bucha is returning to a peaceful life. In the spring, more than a hundred houses will be restored in the city. Residents of Bucha high-rise buildings can receive quick grants for housing reconstruction.

How does it work?

The residents can get up to 7.2 million hryvnias. The Restore House program from the Energy Efficiency Fund covers these costs. Only co-ops can apply. The funds come from the European Union.

The person must apply to the Bucha City Council to participate in the program. They will help collect and arrange everything one needs as soon as possible.

The recovery mechanism is fast because 70% of the funds are given immediately. The received funding can be spent on the repair of common areas:

  • Roofing;
  • facades;
  • Window and balcony structures.
  • And also indoor networks.
