Leopard 2A6 battle tanks promised by Germany and Portugal will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of March.
"I can tell you that I have just learned that 18 German Leopard 2A6 tanks and three Portuguese tanks may all arrive in Ukraine this month," German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on the sidelines of a meeting of EU defense ministers in Sweden, Spiegel reports.
According to him, the tanks will arrive in the country with trained crews, and then they can go to the theater of war.

In January, the German government set the task of quickly assembling two tank battalions with Leopard 2 tanks for Ukraine. Usually, in Ukraine, they are equipped with 31 tanks each.
