Head of Ukraine’s armed forces Zaluzhny met with top generals on war

Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valerii Zaluznhy met with four top generals of the allies.

The main topic was the war in Ukraine, said Zaluzhny.

The meeting was attended by:

  • C. Cavoli, commander of the US European Command;
  • Admiral Sir A. Radakin, Chief of the Defence Staff (UK);
  • R. Andrzejczak, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces;
  • A. Aguto, commander of Security Assistance Group–Ukraine

"Today, I held a very important meeting for Ukraine. I was glad to see my friends and colleagues.

I am grateful to them for a very meaningful and direct conversation. First of all, he informed about the situation on the battlefield. I stopped in the most detail in the eastern direction. In particular, regarding the course of events in Bakhmut." Zaluzhny noted.

The top general says the supply of military aid to Ukraine – arms and ammunition – was discussed no less thoroughly at the meeting. Issues of strengthening anti-aircraft defense and provision of long-range weapons – remain extremely important.

They also continued the dialogue regarding the training of the Ukrainian military. They agreed to continue working together in these and other important areas.
