EU Parliament president arrives in Lviv on working visit

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, came to Ukraine on a working visit.

The head of the European Parliament wrote about this on Twitter, the "European Pravda" media writes.

"Good to be back in Ukraine. With those brave people who inspired the world. With those heroes who refuse to give in. With those who sacrificed everything for our values. With Europeans whose home is in our European Union,"  Roberta Metsola wrote.

Although the President of the European Parliament did not indicate which city she was in, she published photos with the Opera House in Lviv in the background.

Later, she also announced that she had a meeting with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament of Ukraine – ed.), Ruslan Stefanchuk.

"Ukraine's future is as a member of the European Union. We will walk all the way with you," – Metsola mentioned.

Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook that sanctions against the russian federation and the implementation of recommendations regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union were discussed at the meeting.

It should be noted that the United for Justice conference was held in Lviv on March 3. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky participated in the conference.

Several European guests were also in Lviv, particularly the president of Latvia and the foreign ministers of the Netherlands and Estonia.
