US imposes new sanctions on Iranian and Chinese companies
On March 2, the United States imposed sanctions against Iran's petrochemical companies.
According to the US Finance Ministry, the sanctions were imposed against the following legal entities:
- Bushehr petrochemical company (Iran);
- Shiraz Petrochemical Company (Iran) etc.
Also, Chinese shipping companies were included in the sanctions list:
- Global Marine Ship Management (China);
- Shanghai Xuanrun Shipping Company Limited (China) etc.;
Moreover, two dozen tankers for transporting petrochemical products and dry loads under flags of Vietnam, China, Panama, Sao Tome and Prinsipi, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Togo, and Tuvalu, were blacklisted.
