Japan adopts new sanctions against russia
The Japanese government introduced new sanctions against the russian federation on February 28.
73 organizations and 48 russian individuals fell under the restrictions, Japan's MFA reports.
The list newly includes 112 individuals and organizations, as well as one bank and nine individuals who are believed to be involved in russia's purported incorporation of eastern and southern Ukraine regions.
In particular, russia's defense deputy minister viktor goremykin, the head of the Kalashnikov concern alan lushnikov and employees of the general staff of the russian armed forces are on the list.
the head of the russian president's office oleksandr kharichev, his deputy boris rapoport and a relative of chechen president ramzan kadyrov, turpal-ali ibragimov, are also under sanctions.
Japan's export ban additionally targets 21 organizations, including private military company Wagner. The government also decided to ban exports of drone-related items.
On February 25, the EU imposed tenth sanctions package against russia. However, Poland is not satisfied with new restrictions and demanded stronger sanctions on the rubber trade with russia.
