349 Ukrainian children considered missing – Prosecutor General's office

Prosecutor General's Office reported at least 349 children are considered missing since the day one of russia's full-scale war in Ukraine.

"According to the data of the Children of War platform, as of February 25, 2023 349 Ukrainian children are considered missing, and 9,972 children have been found," the statement says.

Juvenile prosecutors informed that, as of the morning of February 27, more than 1,388 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of russia's full-scale war.

According to the official information of the prosecutor's office,  461 children died, and more than 927 were injured of various degrees of severity.

However, these numbers are not final, the work is ongoing to establish them in the places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine.

The most affected children were in the Donetsk region – 445, the Kharkiv region – 272, the Kyiv region- 123, the Kherson region – 90, the Zaporizhzhia region – 84, the Mykolaiv region – 83, the Chernihiv region – 68, the Luhansk region – 66, the Dnipropetrovsk region – 64.

"Due to massive bombing and shelling during the year, 3,126 educational institutions were damaged by the armed forces of the russian federation. 438 of them were completely destroyed," the office said.
