Poland sent the first Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced they had already arrived in the country, speaking in his opening remarks at a meeting of the National Security Council in Warsaw:

The prime minister couldn't be here, he went to Kyiv to bring Leopard tanks which are the first batch delivered to Ukraine.

The information about the transfer of tanks the day before was also confirmed by the spokesman of the Polish government, Piotr Müller, on Twitter.

"The first Leopards from Poland went to our neighbors from Ukraine. At the same time, we are carrying out further deliveries and orders for the Polish army," the message reads.

Poland's prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, is in Kyiv today in a show of support for Ukraine.
