G7 reject the annexation of Ukraine's territories
G7 states will never recognise russia's annexation of Ukraine's Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
It's an official statement of G7 members, the White House publishes.
"We reiterate our unequivocal condemnation and firm rejection of the attempted illegal annexation by Russia of Ukraine's Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. As in the case of Crimea and Sevastopol, we will never recognize these illegal annexation attempts." the report says.
The G7 is committed to providing military aid to Ukraine, with an emphasis on air defense systems, tanks and ammunition, the statement said.
"We remain committed to coordinating efforts to meet Ukraine's pressing military and defence equipment needs, with an immediate focus on air defence systems and capabilities, as well as necessary munitions and tanks." G7 members state.
G7 leaders also deeply regret russia's decision to suspend the implementation of the new nuclear arms treaty.
russian president vladimir putin announced the annexation of occupied territories to Ukraine. He signed the agreement on the so-called "admission of new territories to russia"; it refers to Ukraine's Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated if allies recognise the annexation of parts of Ukrainian territories by the russian dictator vladimir putin, this will open the way for all aggressors in the world in the future.
