Ukraine denies China's claims of smuggling Western weapons
China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that US weapons to Ukraine are often smuggled into the hands of the criminal gangs in Europe and other regions.
The speaker of Ukraine's MFA Oleg Nikolenko responded to these accusations.
"Our state has a modern and effective system of control over the acquisition and use of weapons, which is highly trusted by its partners. This system is multi-level and completely eliminates any possibility of illegal export of weapons. Instead, russia is investing vast resources in disinformation to undermine international military aid to Ukraine", Nikolenko stated.
Ukraine has called on China to use only facts and not be a tool in the hands of russian propaganda.
Previously, The US has said it may send its auditors and investigators directly into the war zone to step up monitoring to check Ukraine's use of military aid.
On January 27, 2023, inspectors arrived in Ukraine to check the proper use of aid provided by the United States to Kyiv at the expense of American taxpayers. The U.S. Treasury Department, after an inspection, said that it had not noticed any signs of misuse of the money the White House provides to Ukraine.
