Exhibit depicting horrors of occupation set up outside russian embassy in Berlin

Activists set up the Russkiy Mir (meaning "russian world") installation near the russian embassy. 

Rubryka reports that this way, Europeans are warned about the danger of russian state ideology. The exhibit shows that "Russkiy Mir" means war crimes, torture, murder, impunity, disrespect for human rights, and international law that russia brings to every occupied territory.

To explain the danger of the ideological doctrine of the "russian world" for European society, an installation with the same name was installed near the russian embassy in Berlin on Wednesday, February 22.

"We wanted to clearly show German society what threats the 'russian world' poses to the territories it occupies. This threat does not necessarily come in tanks — propaganda, economic and political levers, gas blackmail in the West have been going on for many years," the creative agency [isdgroup], which developed the installation, explains the idea.

A bright yellow gas pipe surrounds the "Russkiy Mir" perimeter. At the entrance, a sign warns visitors: everyone in the occupied territory must obey the rules and laws of the russian world.

The rules themselves are also fixed, such as the ban on LGBTQ+ symbols, gatherings and rallies criticizing the government, etc.

Instead, beating one's family members is not a reason for criminal punishment. It is allowed to torture those against joining this territory to "Russkiy Mir." Each rule is supported by a legislative act of the russian federation or a precedent set by international organizations regarding russia's actions in the occupied territories.

"Recently, the EU External Affairs Service named russia the main disinformation country of 2022. The entire russian international information policy is the policy of occupation. kremlin propaganda remains an informational weapon, justifying its crimes, undermining trust in Ukraine, and destabilizing the societies of democratic countries," Maria Sahaidak, head of the strategic communications department at the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security, said, stressing that the world must fight and defend its freedoms and free itself from russian lies together with Ukraine.

Besides the installation, the activists created "Russkiy Mir Zeitung," a newspaper with collected original materials from the russian mass media, translated into German.

These materials testify to the level of propaganda that russia uses inside the country, as well as to russian society's support for the doctrine of the "russian world."

The publication was built as traditional media, but only the foreign policy column contains russia's threats to attack London and fakes about German ministers.

In the "culture" section, the activist showed the real robbery of the Kherson museums by russian forces and more cases of russia systemically stealing Ukraine's historical artifacts and art. The newspaper was used to invite the German mass media and parliamentarians of the Bundestag to the installation's opening.

The installation is open to the public until and including February 25 at Unter den Linden 63–65, 10117 Berlin.
