Biden meets with Poland’s President Duda to discuss war in Ukraine

Head of the American State Joe Biden, heading the US state delegation, arrived at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw for a meeting with the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, according to CNN.

The American TV channel shows a photo of Presidents Biden and Duda standing near the palace during the welcoming ceremony and listening to the national anthem. The head of the White House keeps his hand on his heart.

In the official message of the US administration, distributed among journalists on Monday, it is noted that the heads of state during the meeting should discuss "bilateral cooperation, as well as joint efforts to support Ukraine and strengthen the deterrence system in NATO."

It is noted that a meeting of the presidents is planned first, after which negotiations will take place as part of official delegations.

Later on Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m. (Kyiv time), President Biden is scheduled to deliver a speech on the first anniversary of russia's brutal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine at Castle Square in Warsaw.

US President Joe Biden visited Kyiv on February 20, 2023. Biden met with Volodymyr Zelensky and announced a new package of military aid from the US and additional sanctions against russia for its aggression.

Zelensky described Biden's visit to Kyiv as "the most important visit of the whole history of US-Ukraine relations" and that it emphasizes "the results we have already achieved" and the "historic achievements we might gain together with the whole world."
