Talks with President Biden were "very fruitful" – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that his negotiations with US President Joe Biden were "very fruitful."

The Guardian reports that Zelensky described Biden's visit to Kyiv as "the most important visit of the whole history of US-Ukraine relations" and that it emphasizes "the results we have already achieved" and the "historic achievements we might gain together with the whole world."

Zelensky said during a joint press conference with the US President in Kyiv that he and Biden spoke about "long-range weapons and the weapons that may still be supplied to Ukraine even though it wasn't supplied before," Ukrinform reports.

"This week marks a year of our invincibility, our fight against russian aggression, and it is very symbolic that we are strengthening our resilience with two meetings with Mr. President: my and our team's visit to Washington in December and the visit of the [US] President and his teams to Kyiv today," Zelensky said

He thanked the US president personally, Congress, and the American people for the decision to provide Ukraine with Abrams tanks, which, according to the head of state, laid the foundation for the tank coalition and the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense with the Patriot system.

He also noted that a new powerful US defense aid package for Ukraine is expected.

"Right now, such a serious package is an unequivocal signal that russian attempts at revenge will have no chance, and together we will protect our Ukrainian cities and our people from russian terror and powerfully strengthen the momentum towards our victory," Zelensky emphasized.

The result of this visit will "surely have a reflection on the battlefield," Zelenskiy added.

As reported, on Monday, February 10, the President of the USA arrived on a visit to Ukraine. Biden has already announced that the US is allocating a new military aid package worth $500 million to Ukraine which will include, in particular, missiles for the HIMARS system, Javelin anti-tank missile systems, etc.
