Pelosi denies the weakening of US support for Ukraine
The Americans and the US government continue to support Ukraine's fight for its independence.
There's no need to worry about a possible aid weakening, Rubryka reports, citing the statement of Nancy Pelosi, the former House speaker, at the Munich Safety Conference.
The former speaker noted that the Americans support Ukraine's battle against russia. As Pelosi said, the Americans realise the Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom, so they are ready to support that.
"Perhaps some say – I don't want to spend money, or this or that, but mostly the American people accepted the Ukrainians into their homes. They stand for victory," she noted.
According to the representative, if there are reports in the media about a certain weakening of support, it does not affect the country's mood.
"This is a message of success, a setup for victory. The media ask all kinds of questions. But why do you ask that?
We'll just win, baby. We'll simply hang on until we win. This is about democracy, freedom. For the Ukrainian people, but also for the world,"– the former House speaker stressed.
Pelosi added that she is not afraid of weakening the support of the Ukrainian people.
The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is confident that Ukraine will achieve victory over russia in the current war.
In addition, the Pentagon expects Ukrainian fighters will launch a counteroffensive in the spring.
