Zelensky to open this year's Munich Security Conference

The speech of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, should be the first event at the Munich Security Conference.

The organizers of the conference, as well as the president's office, confirmed the intention, the European Pravda reports.

The half-hour panel, with the participation of the Ukrainian president, who will join the event via video, should take place immediately after the welcoming speech of the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen.

The event was included in the conference program under the name "David-on-Dnieper: Ukrainian battle for freedom," using an allusion to the biblical legend about David, who defeated Goliath, who was stronger than him. Details about the panelists in the public program are currently not disclosed, although people talk of a speech by the president in Munich.

Zelensky's spokesman, Serhii Nikiforov, confirmed to journalists that the president's speech at the conference's opening is indeed planned.

This year's Munich Security Conference will primarily be devoted to Ukraine, its victory in the war with russia, and the future world order issue.
