The Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, paid an unannounced visit to Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced this on his Telegram channel.

"Today, I welcome Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson to Ukraine. Ukraine and Sweden stand together to defend humanity, freedom, and Europe. Together we will be victorious," the Head of State said.

In his post, the Ukrainian leader added a video of a meeting with the Swedish prime minister in Kyiv.

It should be noted that this is Kristersson's first visit to Ukraine as Prime Minister. His predecessor in the position, Magdalena Andersson, came to Ukraine last year.

In mid-January, the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, announced his intention to transfer self-propelled artillery systems Archer, 50 Stridsfordon Type 90 armored infantry vehicles, and NLAW anti-tank missiles to Ukraine.

Sweden is also considering Ukraine's request for Gripen fighters, the country's defense minister said on February 15.

Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson said this on Wednesday in Brussels before the meeting of NATO defense ministers, answering questions from the "European Pravda" media.

"Yes. Of course, we know (about Ukraine's request), as President Zelensky also asked for it. Regarding Gripen, we are currently facing restrictions because these aircraft are very important for maintaining our territorial integrity and sovereignty. That is why this will be a serious obstacle regarding our national defense resources," he said.
