Greece transfers 20 infantry fighting vehicles and ammunition to Ukraine

Greece recently allocated another military aid package to Ukraine, including two dozen infantry fighting vehicles and ammunition.

The Greek Ministry of Defense announced this after the participation of Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos at the Rammstein meeting.

The Minister of Defense Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos mentioned that Greece provided humanitarian and defense aid to Ukraine, including ammunition and, more recently, 20 BMP-1 (the Soviet infantry fighting vehicles), according to the statement made by the Defense Ministry.

It is noted that the minister emphasized that Greece would continue supporting the Ukrainian people's fair struggle to protect the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

For reference:

A two-day meeting of defense ministers of NATO countries is in progress in Brussels. One of the main issues of the meeting is to review the security situation around Ukraine. A meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group under the auspices of the United States in the Rammstein format was held today at the headquarters of the Alliance. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, took part in the ministers' meeting and the Contact Group's work.
