russia preparing massive missile attack on Ukraine – army command

The russian forces are preparing a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine's command doesn't rule out pinpoint strikes on specific objects, says the chief of the joint press center of Ukraine's Defense Forces in the south, Natalia Humeniuk.

"Again, the enemy is preparing such this action plan against us, which is very similar to a mass missile attack," she said on the air of the nationwide telethon. "As we warned before, first is a wave of Shahed kamikaze drones, scouting the directions of Ukraine's air defense and trying to strike critical infrastructure objects. Then the enemy is preparing a missile attack," she said.

Humeniuk stressed that after the so-called "Shahed" reconnaissance wave, a wave of massive missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine is quite likely. At the same time, she does not rule out that there may be pinpoint missile strikes on specific objects.

"The fact that the Shahed drones (we are talking about the attack on the night of February 10) were aimed at those regions of industrial importance, in particular Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, indicates the search for air defense systems and preparation for an attack on critical infrastructure facilities," Humeniuk emphasized.

She also reported that the russian troops took three missile carriers to the Black Sea on combat duty: two surface and one underwater. According to her, the total round is up to 20 Kalibr missiles.

Ukraine's staff observes the russian strategic and tactical aviation activity, which may also indicate the preparation for a massive missile attack. As reported, russian troops attacked critical infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine on the night of February 10.

Currently, an air alert has been announced in all regions of Ukraine.
