Paris mayor arrives in Kyiv to strengthen "bonds of friendship"
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo made her second-ever visit to Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, and presented ten generators.
She announced her initiative on her social media and met with Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko, who also shared the details of the visit.
Anne Hidalgo declared that she wanted to emphasize friendly ties between Kyiv and Paris with her coming to Ukraine and that she respected the courage demonstrated by Ukraine, adding that Kyiv can always count on her support.
"In Kyiv withVitalii Klychko to remember the bonds of friendship that unite our two capitals," she said on Twitter. "Your courage commands respect. As since the first days of this war, Paris will always be at the side of Kyiv and the Ukrainian people."

Anne Hidalgo has already at the city hall of the Kyiv City Council.
"Today, I walked through a city that resisted. Kyiv resists. Like all of Ukraine. It resists, despite the cold, the bombing, despite the restrictions, mourning the dead. And we share this longing with you, honoring them," said Anne Hidalgo during her speech.
Vitalii Klychko reported that the donated generators would be installed in schools and heating stations.
The first time Anne Hidalgo came to Kyiv was in April 2022. On March 22, the Paris city hall symbolically awarded Kyiv the status of "honorary citizen." This was the first case of assigning this status to another city.
