Zelensky to push for quick accession, more weapons at EU summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will ask for more weapons to fight against Russia and advance Kyiv's bid to join the EU at the summit of EU leaders, Reuters reports.
According to a high-ranking Ukrainian official, Zelensky considers the weapons supply to Ukraine as the main result of his foreign visits.
"My president travels to get results," said the Ukrainian official. "He is on a foreign trip today. First and foremost, the main result is – weapons … We need the support of the European Council to speed up arms deliveries to Ukraine," he said.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Kyiv needs long-range artillery and many types of ammunition, as well as battle tanks and fighter jets.

Earlier, the mass media reported that on February 9, Zelensky would speak in the European Parliament.
In addition, European mass media reported earlier that Volodymyr Zelensky might attend the EU leaders' summit scheduled for February 9 and 10.
