Oscar-winning French director to become UA24 Ambassador
French Oscar-winning film director Michel Hazanavicius joined the team of ambassadors of the United24 fundraising platform to fundraise in support of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky informed in his evening video address.
"I met today with the ambassadors of our charity platform United24 – with our athlete Elina Svitolina and the French director Michel Hazanavicius. Michel has joined the ambassadors and is helping us with the Rebuild Ukraine program. This is our first United24 voice in France, and I believe this voice will be powerful," Zelensky said.
The Head of State also reminded that the state charity platform United24 accumulated almost $300 million from ordinary people and companies from more than one hundred countries.
On May 5, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the launch of the United24 global initiative, the first component of which was an online platform for collecting funds in support of Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, as of the end of January, people from 110 countries joined United24 fundraising initiatives.
Previously "Rubryka" wrote that the famous French film director and Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius contributed 125 thousand euros to the Olena Zelenska Foundation. The funds will be used to rebuild the Central City Hospital in Izium, which was partially destroyed and looted by the Russian military.
