Czech NGO to provide cash aid to Ukrainians affected by war

The Czech humanitarian organization, People in Need will provide cash aid to Ukrainians affected by the hostilities through Ukraine's state bank.

PrivatBank began paying financial aid of 2,220 hryvnias per person to people directly affected by russia's invasion of Ukraine, the bank's press service reports.

The following groups can receive assistance per person under the multi-purpose program:

• IDPs who were forced to leave for safer regions from the combat zone;
• people who lost or had their housing damaged by russian shelling;
• people who live near the front line;
• people who provide shelter for IDPs.

"The amount of assistance is UAH 2,220 per person and will be provided in one tranche for three months until July 2023," Privatbank added.

The aid will be paid to a bank account registered with the Ministry of Social Policy through the PrivatMoney payment system.

If such a registered bank card is unavailable or the details are not entered correctly, the client receives an SMS message with the control number of the PrivatMoney transfer.

Assistance through the PrivatMoney payment system with a control number can be obtained at Privat24, TSO, an ATM in a PrivatBank branch, or by calling 3700 to a PrivatBank card.

The organization helps war victims by providing necessary food and industrial goods, hygiene products, helping in the reconstruction of housing, and providing psychosocial support and financial aid.
