Ukrainian intelligence expects shakeup at front line in coming weeks

The intensity of fighting in the east of Ukraine is an attempt to implement the task set by the russian president to capture the eastern regions of Ukraine, says Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence Directorate at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

He stated this on the air of Ukrainian television, АрміяInform reports.

"In February-March, we expect very active events. putin's task is to seize Donbas by March. Nothing will work. These dates have already been postponed many times," said a representative of military intelligence. "The intensity we are currently observing in Donbas is an attempt to implement these plans, not counting the loss in manpower and equipment. The enemy is trying to fulfill the task of the dictator. Therefore, there will be active events soon."

At the same time, he emphasized that "the Ukrainian Defense Forces are not sitting idly by."

putin gave his new commander, valeriy gerasimov, the order to take control of Donbas, which is made up of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, by March, Andrii Yusov, the spokesperson for the Defense Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

According to Yusov, Donbas is the russian forces' top priority.

As reported, the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, believes that the next six months will determine the outcome of russia's war against Ukraine.
